Some threads are not opening for me this morning. I get an error message or a blank screen. Is it me or is it the boards?

And each time I post I get a message saying I have to wait 30 seconds between posts, even though I haven't posted. Then the post is up anyway. If that makes sense...

I put it down to demonic possession, myself.

- I'd link to the "Rosemary's Baby" thread but I can't open it. :D

Happy to help :)

I've had exactly the same symptoms you describe for about 4 days now. When you get blank screen click your refresh button - original page comes up quicker than going back & starting again. I nearly got caught by the posting twice thinking it hadn't taken because of error message the first time.........but opened up second window to check.

I think it's DR1's new test to weed out the cerebrally challenged. :)

Well maybe, but it's an exception in the code that wasn't handled 'gracefully' by the developer. Bad programmer rather than the devil at work here ... I agree, some (developers) are truly 'evil' while others behave like prima donnas. ;)

I was about to declare myself 'weeded' but realised that 'refresh' doesn't work for me.

It seems to be hit-and-miss - but some threads are worse affected than others.

We upgraded PHP last night on our server, so that could be the issue.

VBulletin pushes out some of the best and most robust code I have seen, this isn't a developer problem :)

Investigating...

Chiri,

The funniest part was when I tried to open your thread and I got this message:

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 8388608 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 311296 bytes) in /home/dr1/public_html/forums/showthread.php(1967) : eval()'d code on line 365
