Hola everyone :classic:

I had a quick stop in Santiago and I was extremely hungry (as always). lol

So I went to Kukara Macara. This place becomes very busy at night (especially on a Friday and the weekends). But I went on a weekday afternoon so there were only around five people.

Great food and excellent service.

This restaurant is right across the street from the monument (which I will post later). :chinese:

This delicious Shrimp with rice dish was gone in 10 minutes :chinese:

Next time you're there, try the "Mofongo con Camarones". My favorite dish there. The only place I've had better is from this little outdoors joint on the Malecon in SD. I forgot what it's called. But they mix the shrimp in the mofongo. However, Kukaramacara is a close second.

And then you can head around the corner to the Ahi Bar for drinks.

Damn, I can't wait until I'm there in three more weeks!

I REEEEEEEEALLY needed some "food" here on DR1.

Btw, consair, that's exactly what I had for dinner tonight, from a nice Puerto Rican restaurant by my job. YUMMYLICIOUS!!.

MMMMMM...I Love this place...
A bit pricey compared to some regular places...but for the quality of the food, the environment, beautiful view of the monument and great service...sooooo worth it!

I miss this place!!!

The pictures seemed too small so I'll post them again.

Yes this place is a bit pricey. But very good food and service.

Ahi Bar is also a nice place to go to. They make excellent club sandwiches.
