RE: Link spam

I don't understand this. The Colonial Zone is a very good DR related website and not to my knowledge a direct competitor of dr1, so what is the problem with posting a link to it?

That makes two of us. I have posted a link to that website in the past. Actually, I found out about Zona Colonial Website when someone posted the link on DR1. They have one of the best downloadable maps of Santo Domingo on the internet. Zona Colonial is not a message board so if I may ask what is the problem?

Our spam filter picks it up as link spam. Every post is filtered before it's posted. Some are automatically edited, others give us a warning and we take a look etc.

When you get 250-300+ posts daily, you don't have time to look at each post, hence the filtering.

Thanks for the information. If you would can you take a look at the site, or maybe you know it already. I think it is a valuable resource for people visiting Santo Domingo. If you agree, I will repost the site with slight modifications.

It had me confused because the reply after mine was for a similar site, but one in Spanish and that post was not edited.
