Have any of you guys out there ever had a problem with this in the DR. I went to Mexico one year and had it bad. Went to a pharmacy there and bought an item over the counter called Cofur. It knocked it right out, the same day. I would appreciate any advice as far as do's and don'ts while I am there. I noticed on a couple of postings that people were mentioning salad bars at some of the resturants. From what I have heard lettuce is one of the things that you should stay away from. What about Ice Tea? Do most resturants make it with bottled water? Has anyone ever heard of this medication that I am talking about ( Cofur)and where I might be able to get it in Sosua?

Here are a couple of threads to read on the subject.
BTW: Ice tea is a very uncommon thing to find around here and I eat lettuce everyday.
