RIU AI hotels in POP

I am getting ready to book an AI hotel in POP, I keep getting mixed reviews from the Riu Mambo/Merengue. I see that Riu Bachata is more expensive out of the three, is it really worth it?

My wife and I have stayeed at the Merengue 3 times now. When we stayed there we had access to the other 2 resorts. So we did visit both the Bachata and the Mambo. We liked all 3 but only had food and drinks and used the pools at the other 2. All 3 share the same beach and provides a nice walk from begining to end. By the way, we always get our best price using bookit.com, we do not use air, only the resort as we live in Puerto Plata.

Merengue is fine.

I have stayed twice at the Merengue and I liked it a lot. A month ago I paid $40 a night. Booked directly on the Riu website. I don't think its's worth the extra $ to stay at the Bachata.

Thanks, I think I will go with the Merengue then...
