Insurance in DR

Can someone give me some info about insurance for medical costs in the DR? I will be working there for a year or more as a consultant and since I will work for a Dominican company I cannot insure myself here in Holland. What is the good way to go?
And how much does it cost / what do you get for it?

Another question:

Can anyone recommend me a good doctor and a good dentist in Santo Domingo that I should pick once I'm there?
