Will I have a problem plugging in my Laptop where I am staying ( or anywhere else in Sosua)? I have a three pronged plug. Will I need an adaptor?

What country are you from? Many countries use 3 pronged plugs.

The DR uses the same outlets/plugs as the USA.

What you might have is current fluctuations that could fry the laptop. I would suggest some sort of voltage regulator for the laptop. Current here is 120 (+/-), 60 cycle.
Same as the US. you can get very inexpensive 3/2 prong adapters, knowing that few buildings are grounded.
In Sosua go to Rocky's place and use his wifi.....he has good electricity.

The OP appears to be posting from the US and should not have issues. Occasionally some resort receptacles are recessed a bit and the use of a dollar store extension cord will solve the problem of plugging in transformer type plugs which have the plugs mounted right on the transformer box and will therefore not fit into the recessed outlets.

I am from the U.S.
The only problem that you might run into is the third prong.
They don't use grounds here, so most receptacles are as in the pic I posted above, with only a two prong input.
So, you either need a small adapter, or you could bring a power bar and break the third prong off to plug it in here.
