Does anyone has any clues as to why any some of my text messages sent to certain 829 numbers are never received, yet to some other 829 & almost all 809 are received. Last time in the DR, having dinner with about 12 friends, I textmessaged all...5 received my message ( sent from a gringo T-Mobile ) almost instantly, the others never....

Texting with 829
I have the same problem and I can share with you what they told me at Claro: 829 is recognized as a land-line and therefore can't send or receive text messages. When I was in the US I tried texting an 829 number here and I got a message back stating that it was a land-line. Supposedly though, the calls from the US to the 829 number are cheaper for the US caller, which is I chose an 829 number. I can send/receive texts to 809 numbers with no problem.
