Hi,

Me and my wife to be will be going to the Melia Caribe Tropical for our honeymoon next week. We wanted to buy a camcorder to record this important occasion, and also because we hear the beach there is fantastic.

We see there is a mall just outside the resort and wondered if it would be better to buy one there, or in the UK before we go? The only thing I worried about is the voltage difference when we come back!

This makes it UNANIMOUS .....:pirate:.....:pirate:... Buy it from eBay in the UK with the 240v power supply. Also buy from eBay the power converter 110 - 220v with the UK 3 pin output but with the US 2 or 3 much smaller pin input system! About ?5 on eBay & will work on charging units for your camcorder. ~ Grahame.

Yes I agree..don't buy it in the DR...its gonna cost twice as much and be at least 1 yr or so behind any models u can buy in the UK..BushBaby's idea is a good one. To check out ebay and get one with the proper dual voltage so it can be used in the DR and the UK.

p.s. I know this is off topic but why is there a 2nd Rocky?? (R0cky??)
