.....In the US (at least) they have a spreading ground cover that is used in areas around trees or in plant beds under the plants.........

.......it spreads and stays low and is green all year long (even in the cold areas)...........(THE SPREADING ASPECT IS OF IMPORTANCE TO US)

It is called Pacasandra there and am trying to find a substitute for this here in POP...... it's properties are:

Landscape Uses: One of the best groundcover for shade. Good for erosion control, sloped shady banks. Works well under shade trees where lawn growth is poor. Naturalizing. • Liabilities: No serious pest problems. Is not affected by scale, leaf spot or dieback common to P.. terminalis. Leaf removal can be challenging. • Care: Deer resistant. Drought tolerant.


Does anyone have any idea of what to use or have you used something else.....I would like to try to replace the crushed stone from the plant beds since they constantly have to be weeded and just attract "things"......
