dengue Fever update, please

A while back aftr TS Noel there was discussion about dengue fever being on the rise.
I believe there was a Dr Chris that seemed to have a handle on this. How are things now? I'm particularly interested in the Juan Dolio and San Pedro area, although any info would be appreciated.

What about in the North ? Cabarete/Sosua area ? We are traveling with our 4 month old so I'm concerned for him.

Look:
1) Use bug repellent mornings and evenings.
2) If you have an infant, make sure he sleeps under a mosquito net, unless the room is air conditioned. And even then it is a good idea.
3) Do not go into cane fields or poor barrios where there is puddled water and breeding grounds for mosquitoes.

And, normally speaking, these areas that people visit are NOT areas with significant dengue risks...
