Where can I stay (non AI) with-in an hour out of Las America? Want very good accomodations with or near good dining. Golf nearby a plus.

Do not want to stay in the cityand tired of the usual AI's ie: Hamaca,

So you do not want to stay in the city?

Then, try Embassy Suites in Metro Country Club, east of Las Americas, in Juan Dolio area.
Good accomodation, some dining, and a golf course.
