retro has hookah setup. I saw the guys there smoking a hookah. Ask the owner, he has a nice one.

bronx, we hookah here in maryland every friday. and some people even have their own hookahs at home. hopefully, you go to the places that have the beautiful belly dancers :laugh:

retro is a dance club (bar) in santo domingo. I saw a group of owners friends smoking / sharing hookah among each other. They had tobacco in shape of fat chips burning.

is not a hooker place, right? Is a place where you go and smoke that huge pipe and normally there would be belly dancers and food?? right?

No...lol..not a hooker place.

A hookah is what you smoke flavored hashish (sp?) out of. They have various hookah bars/restaurants in Toronto and NY that I have been to. It's a unique and intresting thing for some variety :)

The one I like in NY is called Rendez-Vouz.

Most places have 20+ different flavors, like apple, cherry, blueberry...etc.

And yes a lot have belly dancers and East Indian or Arabic food. They usually have a really cool atmosphere, and those tables where you sit on the floor with huge cushions.

AZB- is Retro anything like that?

Or is there a location with a similar atmosphere/theme?

Jusjt to clarify so that board members don't think you are a druggie. What is smoked in a hookah is shisha, it is flavored tobacco mixed with molasas, burns very slowy - it is not a type of hashish - which is derived from Cannabis.

The OP is looking for places to Hookah in Santo Domingo. I'm sure there are plenty in cities like New York but what about Santo Domingo?

Maybe the Lebanese/Syrian/Palestinian club on the Malecon could lead you a place where you could find shisha.

Hey y'all I haven't found a place to Hookah, but I found a place that sells the hookah materials etc...4,500 for the actual pipe plus tobacco etc. Hopefully I can get one in January and then invite all of y'all to Hookah with me...
