Hey guys i'm coming from PRico by Ferry and arriving in Santo Domingo on the 22nd, i was going to stay here but after reading about the lack of beach life and night scene only on weekends i might change my plans. And i need your advice.

I'm 21, male, traveling alone, and looking for fun in the sun, party all the time, and mingling with senoritas (yea i like 'chicas' too but i want to be proper)

my options would be the north coast: sosua, cabarete, puerto plata, etc or south coast, la romana, boca chica, juan dolio etc.

I am hoping to spend no more than 70 a night or 400 for a week and would like to have a lot of fun

the idea is i got off a 2 1/2 relationship, i did well this semester, and i'm about to graduate.

any advice is more than welcomed.

btw if anyone wants to hang out over there let me know, i'm on facebook and myspace, just drop a pm here

Most likely you would have your best times in Sosua or Cabarete.
You can get a very decent hotel in your price range.
Sosua's more versatile and less expensive, but Cabarete is geared to the young sporty crowd, so it may suit you better.
Both are good.

It's a pretty beach with wall to wall all inclusive resorts for newly-weds and nearly-deads.

You can Google up "cabarete hotel dominican republic" and you'll get a bunch of hits.
Forget Puerrto Plata.
It's just a big noisy city.
