Okay, no takers. Let me ask you this then:

How much should I expect to pay for one of those cream coloured 8 person taxis from Punta Cana airport to Bayahibe?

That's quite a dstance.
I bet the prices are posted right at PUJ airport, and you might even get it for less.
This is just a wild guess, but I'll go with $120 US.

I used this company on several occaisons.
The owner's name is Rafael Silva. They have new model passenger vans
Very reliable and reasonable. You can pay by credit card via pay-pal.

I think I would call Benjamin there in Higuey and see what he would charge. Rubio Higuey has his number. I can find it if you need it....

Rafael Silva is very reputable and is used and recommended by many. He is a bit on the higher priced side BUT he is very reliable and well recommended. I would not hesitate to recommend him.

As far as Benjamin is concerned, it would be about 2000 pesos, so 60 dollars.

1000 pesos is Higuey to PUJ Airport, and 1000 pesos is Higuey to Romana, Bayahibe is about same distance as Romana. So it should not be more than 2000 pesos with Benjamin. 809-351-8407
He does not speak English though, but is very reliable.


Airport taxi, as per their website, charges 90 dollars to La Romana area

if you take a prebooked transfer fro PUJ intl to Bayahibe/La Romana with a driver who awaits you at the airport, english spoken aso, the rate should not exceed $100.- for up to 5 passengers.
