internet access

We live in Puerto Plata and have Codetel's DSL for our internet connection. It is slow but I purchased the slowest they had as I only use it for things like email and dr1, so it works out for me. You must purchase basic phone service 500 peso's per month. Then the DSL which is around 900 peso's per month. When I purchased mine the DSL modem was included with the package. Again it works fine with me, but I did pruchase the slowest (cheapest). Based on what I read in DR1 internet access is avaliable all over the country. Speed might change based on where you are as well as installation time.

Take a look at previous threads and use the search function, the topic of internet access has been talked about 100's if not 1000's of times on this board, you will find a wealth of information.
