I'm just wondering how a country with such a poor track record of supplying electricity to the populace can have the luxury of building a subway/train system.

Thank you for proving my point once again!

You go around making claims of things you know NOTHING about. Hm, what is the name for such person... a charlatan!

So sad.

This is what that video was truly about:

Esta es la joda del Tren Urbano de camino a las Fiestas de la Calle San Sebastian '08! En Puerto Rico si que se jode donde sea!

Read it here.

My goodness, first you were talking out of your arse about the Trump deal collapsing and now you talk crap about another thing you know nothing about!

?ste se la pasa privando en ser gente. Ja ja ja ja :cheeky:

Isn't odd that the press is not longer so CRITICAL of this project?

What happened to all the critics on DR1? I remember when threads like this one used to flare into a beehive of anti-metro diatribe.

And, can Randall come to DR1 and tell everyone the following:

How would he rate the comfort level? Is it better than what is offered by the conchos that most of the people depend on?

How long did it take to make the entire trip? Was it shorter than driving the same distance in the city?

My point which ever makes you feel better is besides the point???? The Metro of santo domingo is an accomplishment of one men Leonel Fernandez and if the country and the people should go Bankrupt what leonel is Following is his own legacy. Understanding a 3erd world country and 3erd world mentality is fascinating???? to me like your self in regards to the trump concerns that i have and i still have from a point of view of somebody that has invested there??? People like you turn Nationalism to Ignorance and change the argument to one we Puertoricans and Dominicans. the truth of the matter weather you like or not both people have different circumstances you may say this or i may say that but the truth of the matter is seeing people act like little kids about something allot of people in many countries take for granted???? and that was my point. The truth of the matter a video of Young kids either coming out of el Coliseo or going to las Fiestas de San Sebastian to party or get dunk or coming back is completely different that to see a young man uncontrol itself like he is never seen a train before. Now we have to see with a Electrical deficit of more 1200 or more MW in the DR and Oil almost at 100 dollars a barrel how can a country that is under FMI Supervision that has one of the worst Power infrastructure in the Hemisphere and world spends almost 1 billion dollars and plus building a train????? that should be the logical questions. You guys waste your time comparing yourself to Puerto rico instead you should start understanding and taking care of your realities and stop dreaming:sleep:

Some Quick Answers

I can't believe my first post in a year has ended up being a reply to Nals. Somebody shoot me now :)

How would he rate the comfort level? Is it better than what is offered by the conchos that most of the people depend on? - Very comfortable, very modern, even smells new.

How long did it take to make the entire trip? Was it shorter than driving the same distance in the city? - Much quicker than driving the same distance. Didn't time it though.

It is supposedly going to be free for a while after the grand opening, but as of now I don't have any specific details on that.

Happy 27 de Febrero (4th of July for all you rednecks)

Scandall, too bad I don't live in the People's Republic of Massachusettes. You would definitely have my vote and full support.

Thanks, Buddy. Much appreciated.

My first plan when I get back is to buy "una camioneta con bocinas grandisimas" so I can drive around Massachusetts blaring merengue. I think it'll help.
