I received useful suggestions for Sosua.
Are there any suggestions for relatively upscale (i.e. clean/modern) 'guest friendly' hotels in Cabarete?

Since you're looking for upscale, let me suggest Velero (it is guest friendly).

Yeap very nice hotel and with a downscale whore bar/restaurant right across the street. I guess Chicken con Chica is their best seller.

IMO i think that all "guest"-seeking people should stay in Sosua...

Great, maybe they will convince the Sackmans to move the Fountains Project to the sugar cane field beside the airport
