Wow! - It is farily early in the morning here in the USA and I watching television with the news on. A lengthy story just appeared on the easing of tensions between Columbia, Ecuador, and Venezuela. It appears from the story that the DR hosted a summit where these national leaders met and settled their differences. -
It is not my intent to agree or disagree with the circumstnaces of what is or was the cause of the tensions. The purpose of this thread was to remark on the great work of the Dominican Government and People to host the summit and work with those countries to settle this issue.
I saw President Leonel Fernandez on televison and he looks like quite the diplomat and statesman. Again, Contratulations to the DR for stepping up and taking a big role on the world stage.
