HOTELS IN SD

I will arrive in Santo Domingo on 8/12--no hotel reservations.
I would like to stay in SD about 5 days and then drive around the Island exploring--do any of you members have forvite hotels
centrally located for $50 and under. Any other recomendations
for hotels in other cities will be greatly appreciated. I HAVE ABOUT 13 DAYS

Also, any "must" see tourist sites.

you should try Sosuha very nice town with a great beach and a hotel called Marguarita ville plus many more buses go to s.d. every day

We know of the Cooch's Cabin in Sosua, Puerto Plata. $25.00 a day. Walking distance from the lovely Playa Sosua (Sosua Beach). That's the most affordable place we can think off in the area.
