Used Major Appliances Prices in Santo Domingo???

I am contemplating sending 3 used regular size refrigerators to SD. Could someone please tell me how much lets say a 2-4 year old regular size (30 inches wide) major name such as GE, Frigidaire would cost in SD?
The shipping is so outrageously expensive ($300 each)
I was wondering if for a $300 I can buy a decent used fridge in SD. Thank you.

Don't know about Santo Domingo, but I purchased a good used fridge last May here in Puerto Plata. It took a lot of looking and haggling, but I finally got it for 13,000 Pesos. I was quoted prices as high as 18,000 pesos for other ones.

It is a Frigidaire and evidently was sent from the US.

It may, then, it may not. Frigidaire's are being assembled in several Latin American Countries. The same is true for Kelvinator (remember Nash and Rambler?) and some Oster products (mainly the chrome based "Osterizer" blender).

I wouldn't be surprised to find that some of these find their way into the DR market.
