So here's my question:

How many residents in the Dominican Republic actually have access to the internet? Any polls taken will be rather biased, won't they? Fair representation wouldn't be possible, eh? Or what do you think? ~Sarah

that we have 115.000 internet line in the country
that are between Privite/Cyber Cafe/Public ong ETC.

Both CODETEL and TRICOM, the two major internet servers in DR have updated information on how many households are conected to the internet in the Dominican Republic. If youwant to know this information, please contact them.

That is interesting. When did they do this update? A colleague of mine at Telecommunications has been trying to get this info with no success. Based on UNDP's Human Development Report 2000 (albeit data is from 1998), there is no data on how many people are connected to the Internet. There isn't even data on how many people have personal computers. Internet hosts per 1000 people was 0.59. Can you please provide me with a phone number, or link to this information. Thanks.
