Bringing Dominican Friends to US

Hi! Can someone please tell me how possible it is to have a friend come to work and/or live in the US?
What is involved? Passport, visa, money?
How difficult is it and what the steps are?
I realize this topic must have come up before so if someone knows what prior post to direct me to please let me know. My searches have only found bits and pieces of info.

Well Paul, I can only tell you that it is next to impossible to obtain a visa from the US Embassy for a Dominican to travel for work or otherwise to the US. There are several posts here that detail the process and the stories of many others who have tried.
