I hope this OK with the Forum rules. But as it has come up every now and then... so here's my latest and updated (all life links as of today) list of hotels and hostels in Santo Domingo City which have an Internet presence.
This list is NOT intended to be complete, there may be others and I've even kicked some because their web site was all too lousy or the place looked too scary on the site to be of interest to ME.
This is also NOT an endorsement of these hotels, many of which I have not visited. So it's not a recommendation either. Stay at your own risk.

At the end of each line there is an approximative locator (like (Naco or Gazcue)... these too are only based on the indications gathered on the individual pages.

Hotel Aladino Aparta Hotel, NAco
Hotel Atalaya Apart Hotel, Independencia entre Lincon & Churchill
Hotel Atarazana, Zona Colonial
Hotel Boutique Hotel Palacio, Zona Colonial
Hotel Carey Guest House, Gazcue
Hotel Clarion, Naco
Hotel Coco Boutique, Zona Colonial
Hotel Conde De Penalba, Zona Colonial
Hotel Condo-Parque & Venus Bar, Zona Colonial
Hotel Danae, GazcueHotel Delta, Poligono - Sarasota
Hotel Discovery, Zona Colonial
Hotel Dominican Fiesta Group
Hotel Do?a Elvira, Zona Colonial
Hotel Duque de Wellington, Gazcue - Independencia
Hotel Barcelo Lina
Hotel El Beaterio, Guest House, Zona Colonial
Hotel El Se?orial, Gazcue
Hotel Green House Aparta Hotel, Ciudad Nueva?
Hotel Hispaniola & Casino, Lincoln & Independencia
Hotel Hodelpa Caribe Colonial
Hotel InterContinental, Malecon
Hotel Maison Gautreaux, Gazcue
Hotel Napolitano
Hotel Occidental Embajador, Churchill & Sarasota
Hotel Plaza Colonial, Zona Colonial
Hotel Renaissance Jaragua & Casino
Hotel Residence, Gazcue
Hotel Residence City - Santo Domingo
Hotel Residence Venecia, Gazque
Hotel Santo Domingo, Lincoln & Malecon
Hotel Sofitel Nicolas de Ovando, Zona Colonial
Hotel Villa Colonial

In the case of upper scale places, it has been my experience that one I have chose a couple of hotels I might be interested in for a particular stay, I can usually find a better price on the many hotel travel search sites available. Be careful however, as most advertise prices which exclude taxes and the common 10% service fee and may NOT include breakfast as opposed to the rate advertised on the hotel's home page. Some even try to compete by advertising a per person rate instead of a room rate.
Alternatively, most hostels seem to post prices which include all taxes and fees and mostly include breakfast.

I hope it may be of help to some... J-D.

moderator, can you fix that for me, please? Thanks!

There is a line mistake which I don't seem able to correct anymore, but maybe the moderator could:
On the 10th list line (Hotel Danae, Gazcue...) there should start a new line (Enter) after "Gazcue" so that Hotel has it's own line. They are two different entries and should read like so:

Hotel Danae, Gazcue
Hotel Delta, Poligono - Sarasota

If the moderator can fix that (just hit Enter between Gazcue and Hotel), he may also delete this post.
Thanks! ... J-D.

To avoid this information from getting lost in the "shuffle", the mods should turn this thread into a sticky.
