Are there Teak plantations in the DR? I like to get some saplings to grow on my land. Teak is known to be the hardest wood on the planet and grow fast.

FYI

Lignum Vitae is the hardest known wood - it's so dense that it doesn't float in water.

I have a cutting block cut from it.

I asked a person who is well versed in wood plantations here, and he says he has never heard of teak being planted here.
