Case: I have a Dominican friend who lives and works in Jamaica (Dominican multinational company, I *think*). She's going to be a single mother and the father of her son is a Jamaican citizen. She says she wants to give birth in DR instead of in Jamaica and that the father will come with her to register the baby at the Jamaican embassy (or consulate, dunno which one is which) as a Jamaican citizen to avoid visa issues, etc.
IF she were to give birth in Jamaica and then later on register the baby as a Dominican citizen (for the purpose of this question, let's say she'll register the baby before he's 1 year old either here in DR or at the Dominican embassy in Jamaica if there's one), is there any difference as of rights/duties the baby should have got should he have been born in DR?
