Is it possible to start a business corp, without a lawyer

I would like to start a business in the D.R., and if its possible to do the paperwork without a lawyer. I know that I will need a notary for the paperwork. What office would I go to set up a company. Thanks for your reply.

It is possible but maybe not such a good idea!!! what area of the country are you going to be in?

The type of business will be advertising related, for Hotels, Restaurents, etc, and for them to advertise in our web site. We are going to start in Santiago first, then slowly advance to other large cities. The site will be for the tourist as well as Dominicans. Thanks again.
