I am in the process of possibly relocating to the Dominican Republic with my family. I was born in the United States and both of my parents are Dominican.

I am a legal assistant/paralegal and am fluent in Spanish and English.
I have started my job search and will be flying in to take an English test for any possible vacancies at the US Embassy.

Does anyone have any idea what the starting salary for a legal assistant/paralegal is?

Paralegal work is entry level in a law firm, regardless of you being fluent in both languages. You will have lots of competition here. I would speculate starting wages at the better firms would be around RD$20,000 a month. Also, you will not have Dominican legal experience, so it will take you a while to catch up and that may work against you.

You may need to be creative in your job seeking.
