Made me cringe when I saw a very ostentatious disco rig, with flashing lights, lasers, great big speakers. Cables all over the floor, connected up the Dominican way, ie twisted together and a bit of tape wrapped round them. Lots of tables and chairs set out. Ashtrays on the tables. All sponsored by Bermudez rum with no expense spared.


And the venue?



The Esso petrol station forecourt in Cabarete!:speechles They were still pumping petrol when the party was going on!

I wonder if they'll do anything by the Doors, Come on baby light my fire!

they are promoting bermudez rum. They will offer free rum, served by models, free DJ music and free caps and t shirts. This event is organized by my friend.

This is normal, it happens all over the country on a regular basis.
Have you seen that Esso on new years eve?

Gas stations are hang out places in some parts of Santo Domingo.
Especially on Av. Venezuela in front of Eclipse or the Shell on Lincoln.

We are in the DR baby :)
