Real Estate & Internet

Does anyone has already experienced (very) Good or Bad acquisition through Real Estate in the North Coast using Internet ? I am looking for a house to buy and I use internet, being in France, but only a few of them are showing affairs and I suppose that RE is not the only way to find "the pearl". Have you heard of Internet Sites where houses are sold directly by proprietary ? Where to find documentation, news group or articles about Title certification, taxes and else... ?
