Does anybody notice a speed increase in Codetel DSL service? My modem now states a 480 down and 160 up speeds and my invoice (delivered today) is still reporting 384/128.
They are actual speeds, I check the modem only after I saw faster downloads in bittorrent.

See, you pay more for crude oil, you get higher quality and faster electric current! ;) lol

My 768/512 has been running a little over for about 2 weeks now.

I must say I am experiencing the same thing here in LT... But I moved from downtown to Playa Bonita, and thought I was on a better terminal... According to all posts in this thread, it seems to be a national thing... GOOD !!!

I switched from Codetel DSL to Tricom 1.5MB cable a few weeks ago. It has gone down a few times (once for several hours) but it's pretty fast.

My speakeasy.net test right now was:

download 1699
upload 472

Nowadays technology upgrades don't come in 20%'s or so.... I think they just got something working again... But yes, it feels and acts better.

... J-D.
I'm not sure about that.
At the time of your post, my speed tests were the same as always.
I figured that it was possible that they only "fixed up" certain plans and not the one I have, but today I've begun to get much better results than in the past.
The plan is 768 down and 512 up, with normal returns of approx. 580 down and 400 up.
Here are the new results.

I have the Codetel 1.5/768 plan here in Jarabacoa.

My speakeasy.net shows 1561/634.

Ever since I put in different DNS numbers, the service has been great.

For RD$2850, I'm very pleased.
