Dominicans and Ballads

Many people when referring to Dominicans just think of Merengue and Bachata as the only music we sing and listen to. But the truth is that this is far from reality.

Dominican Republic "IMO" I would say is at the top among other ballad loving countries, and many Dominican composers and singers have contributed a great deal to some of the best ballads out there.

I think that Anais is getting ready to be our next Angela Carrasco.
It is true that she can be thuggish but that is just part of her talent,
being able to blend in. She can also be classy when she has to.

She is simply "FENOMENA". See her style...

Raulin Rodriguez has a couple of nice boleros at the end of his last cd. Really nice stuff...great guitar work and such expression in his voice. Glad to see he's back in action (i heard he had vocal surgery about a year ago).
