Had a quick preview of the new gym facility at the Sosua Bay Hotel Casino building, don't know what they will call it, which will have a disco (already operating), office space, a convention room and a gym on 3rd floor among other things.. All the new equipment is there and the views are grand, the a/c was already on and working and all the new machines are good quality.
Very nice place, separate lady's and men's locker rooms.
Will raise the bar for gyms in the area if you're willing to pay double, more or less, from about RD$750 to about RD$1,500 per month. Less than US$50 bucks seems like a deal. there is an elevator to the 3rd floor, marble floors at the entrance, etc. etc.......... nice.
Have no personal financial interest in the place at all. Just saying what i saw.
If I was a gym-going person that looks like the place I would wanna go is all I'm saying.

This sounds great for those who are willing to pay more then what is at the moment the latest gym in Sosua (D'LOIS G.& S.) on C/P Clisante. Did you see if they had an exercise room dedicated to spinning, aerobics, and yoga etc.?

New Gym

The new gym opens Monday, thank god. Working out without air condition is miserable, and none of the gyms in Sosua have ac. Including the new D'Lois, although advertised has having ac. Also I have no affiliation with either gym.
