NO, but a UK bank will work with a PAYPAL debit card in a Dominican ATH machine.
That is correct, you DO NOT need a bank account to receive funds in your PAYPAL account. All of the details are here.

I think there's some misunderstanding here.
Eralc went to the UK just a week or two ago, so "here" must mean the UK.
Dominican bank accounts do not work with PAYPAL, while UK banks do regardless of what the OP is trying to accomplish.

Thanks Tambo, I now see it is possible, but in my case it still looks like I might have to create a new account because it only gives me the option of entering a US bank account, maybe based on my location (DR) or my mailing address, which is in the US.
I tried that when we were Paypalling money to Chris for the Santiago flood victims. It was a nightmare. My bank account is in UK, my mailing address in US & I live in DR. In the end I gave up because Paypal wouldn't answer my queries, & sent the money to HB by Caribe Bank instead. Paypal's set up didn't seem to allow for those of us 'outside the box'. Course once I'd cancelled the account Paypal then wrote to me twice a day.............:ermm:
