It's that time of year again. NFL pre-season is here, college kids are reporting to camp, and high schoolers will be heading back to the practice field shortly.

I'm curious: how do you watch the televised games of your favorite teams? What do you do to satisfy your football jones? What options do you have, and which do you choose?

For me it was drinking $100 Presidentes in the sports bar just outside the Jaragua Casino's doors all afternoon, or nothing. I went cold turkey, and learned dominoes.

If you don't want to play dominoes, look up megabiteme - he wanted company watching satellite football games.

Until I get my TV set up properly here (haven't brought it yet) with a FTA HD box with access to the Sunday Ticket, I'm going the Slingbox route, putting one on Mom CB's Verizon HD fiberoptic feed, getting games (especially my Bucs) on my laptop.

I think this would be as good a time as any for people to post where on the island they can catch these football games.

Lets' see if we can get information on the various sports bars all over the country.

Last seson i caught a couple of games @ the 5-Star sports book place on Calle Resturacion in downtown Santiago. They have satellite capacity to show 4 games at a time on multiple TV's. No food, though, just beverages.

Caught one game @ Eddy's last year. Eddy was there, and badpiece33/Patrick dropped by.

Five Star also has a location in SD on the Malecon near Vesuivos Restaurant.

In Cabarete Jose O?Shays has the NFL Sunday Ticket, so all the games are on there on Sundays.

I play fantasy football on NFL.com or CBSsportsline.com. BTW, anybody wanna start a dominican fantasy league?

ahhh well opening day thursday Giants vs Redskins, i hope it's during HAPPY HOUR cause i'll drink the place dry! LOL
