I am in the DR and considering a trip to Haiti. While there I was hoping to tour the Barbancourt tum distillery. I have heard they offer tours.
They don't seem to be answering their e-mail.
Anyone been over there and done the distillery tour?
I assuming Haiti is safe enough provided you are sensible. Caribe bus to PoP, hotel up in Petitionville, no wandering PoP after dark. . . Sound safe enough?
And is French a necessity or can I survive a few days on English?
Any recommended sights from those who've been? Any other advice?
