appropriate gifts for a christening?

Have an invite for a chirstening and a presentation. THe girl is being christened and the boy is being "presented" at 2 and 3 years old.

Even tho i am half latino my family somehow avoided the catholic church (no offence).

Any suggestions for appropriate and respectful gifts? The family is dominican (here in the US)
