Does anyone have experience with attempting to get a marriage annulled in the Dominican Republic through the Roman Catholic Church's marriage tribunal office? What I am looking for is information on the cost, the average amount of time required, and the percentages of marriages that are successful.

A friend of mine in Spain went through this process. It cost him about 10,000US$. You have to go to the Archbishop's office in Santo Domingo, but you start at the church where the wedding took place. Lots of paperwork and lawyers are involved..

Good luck.

My brother and my best friend went throught the annulment process in the States. I don't know why the process would be significantly different as it is the same Roman Catholic Church. The figures they quoted me were probably around three thousand dollars or so.
