school breaks, pls help!

hi!
I'm thinking about studying in DR (a long time away yet!)
I'm from the southern hemisphere and our seasons are reversed so I could prob study in my summer break (dec-feb) but would like to know when the university breaks are in DR? I need to know so I can plan out a semester incase our semesters overlap

can anyone help?

Semesters at the more organized universities are August-Dec and Jan-May. Our "summer"sessions are mid-May to late-July.

Take your pick.

thanks for the info!!! Would you happen to know the mid semester breaks as well?
Don't know what I'll study, I gotta see how good I can get my spanish first, I might even just study spanish instead of arts and humanities (my area)

There are no mid semester breaks...there are a couple of holidays during the Aug-Dec semester and there is Easter Week during the Jan-May session...also a few holidays for saints, virgins and founding fathers..during Jan and Feb.
