Chugas!

Where to rent a motor boat in Sosua for a week or so? And what are approximate rates? Any license needed to drive it?

Thank you!

They have boats for rent at Sosua beach. They are chartered but for the right price anything can be had.

Pop has other options.

same over here on the east.
boats are usually only rented with a driver on,
too rocky and stretchy to let anybody drive around,
those smaller vessels usuall use outbord engines, those transmissions and propellers cost a fortune when hitting something.
if you have a friend who teachs you the basics he may lent you the boat,
no problem with licenses, not existent.
happy boating

Not big. About five meters long I guess. For some local navigating. Not further than one-two miles into open water. Or less.

Help me out please, as I'm sure that your venture is not as nefarious as it might sound. What on earth are you planning to do while navigating locally in a 5 meter long boat without a driver in the unknown open waters of the Atlantic Ocean 2 to 3 miles out?

Do you know what you would pay to rent a boat and driver for an hour at Sosua Beach?

no I do not know. that is why I asked my question.

I do not want driver.

I think by hour it is much more expensive than for longer term. Boat is cheaper than car and rent a car is $25 per day here.

not 3 miles for sure. one mile at most I think. for beginning.

I saw dominicans navigate even smaller ones without problems.

that's the difference,
many dominicans grew up on the water and know exactly what they do and what they are talking about.
a 5 meter dingy OFFSHORE???
you've never been on a boat before.
please some girls??
if they did not grew up with daddy in the fishing yola they will stop to be pleased 200 yards off the beach, ha ha.
what kind of little business from dusk to dawn you have in mind??
rates:
Boats are cheaper than cars???
now that shows that you better should not drive something on the water.
in their own down or up classes boats are much more expensive than cars.
$29 bucks per day?
a little 60HP outbord burns 60 gallons gas per hour plus oil,
make the count.
