Anyone want to rent us their car?

Hello everyone. My boyfriend and I are here in Cabarete. We were here for a few months in the summer and went back to NY and now we are here again for another month. Wondering if anyone is maybe leaving for a month that would want to rent us their car or if anyone knows of anyone with an extra car that they would want to rent to us for the month?

go talk to some of the rental agencies in town. they should rent you by the hour this time of year. i did that a couple years ago with universal car rental, near the entrance to lax. i'd use the car to run to pto plata, or wherever & pay 500 pesos or so for 2 or 3 hours. not sure what rates are right now, may be higher.

give it a try. everything's potentially negotiable, especially in slow season.
