I've read the board concerning "Americans, Dominicans, other nationalities"... and the hate and rage I have read is rather disturbing. Are we not all human? Perhaps instead of looking at all the worst and negative in others, shouldn't we look for things we can learn from and discover. I am American and my boyfriend is Dominican. I have been to the DR and have learned and discovered differences and likenesses of both. I repect him, his country, people and I love his family. There is good and bad in all people and places. You need to decide for yourself what you choose to surround yourself with and what you choose let rule your life. I learned so many things about the Dominican people and their cultures and I continue to always learn more. I am also a teacher of young children and I pass on the things I learn. It's a cycle. What do you choose to pass on to others?
