I've not found anything I would be willing to recommend. You are better to find a private teacher and go from there. But make sure they have some credentials!

Well we finally located Andrea's Language School :cheeky: it had moved! It used to be on Emilio Prud'homme, Malecon end, but that became a Colegio over a year ago. It is now on Antera Mota, close to 27 de Febrero & from new sign & coat of paint it looks like it's in business. Not just Spanish taught but also German, English & I believe, French. Thandie has all the details & will report back for the benefit of others.

I can't believe you didn't know where they were. They moved well over 3 years ago maybe more.

I looked into them as well and for Spanish found them lacking.

I visited Andrea's last night, and sat in on one of the classes.
The teacher Andrea is non native Spanish speaker...I think German.
Private hourly lessons are 350 pesos.
The class I sat in on was a LEVEL 1 class that finishes in a few weeks.
2 nights a week for 1 1/2 hrs for 550 pesos a month. It was a 3 month rapid course.
There is another morning class for 1 hr that cost 400 pesos a month.
The school will be closing soon for the holidays and will reopen January 10th and another course will be starting during the day.

another option maybe to use the rosetta stone software.......i have atried everything from private lessons to books to the Rossetta Stone. This software is fabulous and well worth the investment

you say two nights, what time exactly? i work until 6pm.
do they have any other levels?
i don't mind a foreign teacher as long as they have credentials and skill....
