No thank goodness. There are lots of roadside stands to get some terrific chicken.

KFC to me is some of the worst chicken I have ever had. Some of the best tasting chicken I have ever had has been off a roadside bbq in the DR. Great chicken, rice and beans!

There's a Provocon on the main road on the right as if going towards the tunnel. That is some delicious chicken.

Sonrisa Restaurant in Puerto Plata

Try the small restaurant about 400 yards down from the public hospital on Av 27 de Augusto. The name of it is "Sonrisa". The owner is a Dominican lady who speaks very good English and has catered a couple parties for me.

The chicken there beats KFC by a mile. Their plate of the day is fine if you like Dominican fare.

I saw this post last night & I................didn't respond. :cheeky: Hasn't everyone been good? No comments about chickens in chains, or chickens resting (chained or not) or any of the other things which might have appeared.
