loads of people spotted outside yesterday- Domincan ladies and gents looked like staff for training - is it due to re-open per chance

Yes, the water park is going to re-open soon. The park has been leased to one of the largest theme park companies in the world. They are currently renovating and interviewing. Not sure on an opening date yet, will keep you informed if I hear anything.

Usual rate is $350RD for adult and $240 for child. They do run specials like yesterday was 2 for 1 on admission.

The park looks great, much the same as mamy water theme parks in the US. Opening day looked like a huge success.

I was wondering if many tourists have found it yet. Although it was just opening day, I didn't see many gringos in the pictures. It seems like something that families with kids would enjoy, a nice refreshing day in the water at a very reasonable price, I think.

errrrrrrrrrr did it close again - the stumps have always been up round the entrance when I've driven past lately

The park is open Thursday's to Sunday's...if you went past during the early week then that would explain why it was closed.
