I want to dive in Puerto Plata!!

Dear reader,

Is it possible to dive in Puerto Plata and can I start every day with the course? I am only going to stay for 7 days and I want to do the open water course. Is that possible? And my last question: How big is Puerto Plata, is fun over there?

I don't know the answer to the questions re: diving but there are diving web sites. Cabarete and Sosua are very near by. Try www.dolpindivecenter.com or www.northcoastdiving.com/northerncoast.html.

Puerto Plata is quite large and there is lots to do there. If you are staying at an all inclusive, make an effort to get into town - it is a whole different world. There are many sites about this topic and postings on this board about it as well. Have fun.
