Now that I have an inverter, when elec was out for 6 or so hours...elec is now on all the time for last couple of weeks..
what type of service need I perform on system not that it does not run at all...
should I turn off my elec once in a while to discharge batteries,or just leave them be...

1) Make sure the batteries have sufficient water, and there is no corrosion on the cable connections.

Quality inverter/chargers will have a "conditioning" cycle that removes excessive sulphation from the plates.

Should not be much more maintenance than that.
