Last time in to the area the only yanks that were there were Yanks from the Peace Corp. on holiday in Las Terrenas. Whats changed in the last few years? Are there more yanks there these days or mostly Europeans and Canuks? Is the road to Playa Bonita still unpaved, and does it end at the end of the beach, or now continue on to Playa Coson, the next beach west of there. In L.T. there was a hotel Deni, with 7up statues out front. Still there? and...lastly is the road to El Limon still just a dirt track thru the coco's? Thanks for the update! Any thing else you can share would be appreciated! One last thing...if you went right at the "T" intersection in Las Terrenas for approx. 1000 meters there was an excellent pizza place on the right, run by I believe an Italian couple. Still there?

a few things may have changed.lot's of traffic and air pollution on the mainstreet.some small plazas have been erected and there are now a couple of banks located.
hotel diny with 7 up is still there.feels like more european than canuks these day's.did not count them!
road to el limon is improving especially from the samana side.from lt up to a little behind portillo looks worse everytime.
pretty much the same with road to playa bonita.if we speak about the same beach it is just the beach track from the bonito side.there is a paralell road that might lead to it directly.
have no clue about your pizza but start looking for another place.
