Cheapest way to travel from Punta Cana Airport to Catalonia Bavaro Beach AI

Hi,

I would like to somehow get to the hotel (preferably without using the airport "pink shirt" taxi services) from the airport and back. A friend and I will be arriving to Punta Cana mid-day on the 22nd of January. My friend and I are packing light and are considering using the "gua-gua." We would greatly appreciate any recommendations and suggestions. Thanks!

Gua Gua would entail a long walk from the airport to the road and extensive knowledge of the area knowing when to get off and on to a different or correct gua gua. there also are no signs at the turn off for Cabeza de toro.

airport to cabeza de toro where the catalonia is located is a bit a complicated guagua ride, you have to switch routes on the way.
check your travel package, maybe you have transportation by the tourbus included, that would be the cheapest way to go.
