Hi all

Im planning a trip to Cuba and the cheapest tickets from madrid are 650 euros - expensive! to Santo Domingo, on the other hand, they are only 365 euros. So I have this idea of going to SD and from there to Cuba - that way I get to see two places and possibly save some euros doing it. Does that sound like a good idea? Has anyone ever done Cuba from the DR before? I would also like to visit the PR, but Cuba is the priority. Any ideas?

Thankyou very much!

Certainly doable.
SDQ to Panama, Panama to Havana by COPA is one way.
Cubana from Santo Domingo is another but they use old Tu aircraft....
You'd need a visa to go to Puerto Rico, wouldn't you? Or Not.

Flights to Havana from the DR are quite expensive, though - about US$600 return.
